Kolber has also worked with CBS Sports and Fox Sports. Kolber from Pennsylvania graduated with a graduate degree from the University of Miami. Kolber began her career working in New York City as a CBS Sports video coordinator. As a video coordinator for WTVJ-TV Miami, she won the Sports Emmy. Also, she worked at WPLG-TV in Miami and WPEC-TV within West Palm Beach, Florida. She was selected to be anchor for ESPN2 in 1993, when the channel first came on air. Following her time at ESPN2 over the next three seasons, Fox Sports hired her. In 1999 she was hired by ESPN for the show 'Monday Night Countdown.'
